I’m writing with a heart partially broken, I’d been working on a draft for DAYS and I was about to publish and guess what happened- it disappeared! So you’ll have to forgive me for the fast and furiousness of this post as I am having to write it all over again. Curses to you, wordpress!

Maybe this is symbolic? In the draft which is no more, I had delved into how I feel about starting over in a sense in regards towards my next step in life, which will involve more of San Francisco (stay tuned!) So perhaps this is a taste of what is to ensue over the next several months. Putting energy into something new only for it to dissipate into thin air. Picking yourself up despite the discouragement, and muster the energy back to the drawing board. Good ol’ trial and error, lesson learning and all that!

This being said- I’ll get right to it, keep this post short ‘n sweet as my brain is currently a massive serving of cervello fritto (fried brain)- I’m sure you’ll all appreciate for once a post which isn’t a bunch of rambling!

Say what- Cocktail making in Florence? It’s a new thing (lesson) I crafted up! So if you haven’t noticed, I love alcohol. This is precisely why most (if not all my tours) have an alcohol pairing component. But I’m choosy. Why torture your liver on bad hooch? I have standards, people!

I am extremely passionate about the Florentine Negroni, and now the Martini (oh yeah, I’m on this no-sugar kick and basically Martinis are one of the few cocktails I’m permitted) the art of bartending and of course the ritual of the Italian aperitivo.

So I decided to come up with a workshop/lesson to offer which incorporated all the things I love and to provide to curious fellow booze-loving people. Which is: a hands-on craft cocktail making lesson in Florence led by some of my favorite experts on the planet who share my nostalgic attachment to classic Italian drinks.

Full details can be found HERE and includes all the inclusions, time/days, price and of course- tickets to book, which I trust you’ll do!

In terms of more updates I casually mentioned in the opening, oh ya know basically peace’ing out for San Francisco? Those plans are in the works but expect more unique Italian-focused food & drink activities similar to the events I participated in last year. Stay tuned! I’m dreaming them up as much as I dream about when this self-imposed no-sugar torture is over and I can be reunited with my true love: gelato.

In your trust (as much as one can trust any one lush),
