I’ll be in Bologna for a month- to experience a new Italian city and learn everything possible about the cuisine of the Emilia-Romagna! This is the stuff Italian food dreams are made of!
A lot of people ask “so what brought you to Florence?” and the answer is essentially I’d always wanted to move to Italy and work in food and wine. They also ask “what’s your blog all about?” This blog is about where & drink eat but also about an American-born food enthusiast who moved to Italy from Seattle. Hello, readers! I’ve been really busy this summer well with tours, battling mosquitoes, traveling (I owe this blog a post on Venice) and other amazing things like living life!
As the name of my blog denotes, I have a curious appetite. I am not shy to try anything (I picked up and moved to Italy ferchrissake!) and am curious about everything authentic, including the bizarre. In Florence, there is a restaurant I really love for its strange offerings of Tuscan fare twisted with all things offal (ahem, animal innards). Read up on my article for Vice Munchies to learn about this offal eatery in the center of Florence and where you can get cow gut sushi in the former red light district: http://munchies.vice.com/articles/the-offal-osteria-is-putting-the-guts-back-into-florences-former-red-light-district
In your offal trust,

Hello, curious readers! I thought I’d give you all a little update and news about all the happenings over at the curious “headquarters!” As you may or may not know, I am currently in Seattle counting down the days until I can prance around my chianti wonderland of Florence again! While I am counting down, I am up to some no good food business. Well, maybe not “no good” but some goodies are in the works.
